One who keeps records or accounts, attends to correspondence, or does other similar duties in an office.
court clerk
The court official in charge of some or all of the administrative aspects of the courtÂ’s operations, including the filing, processing, and maintenance of court records; preparing summons and other papers that commence a lawsuit, including endorsement or placement of raised seal to signify that the papers are official documents of the court; and entering judgments.
law clerk
